"Tá Pirando, Pirado, Pirou" was born from a joint effort made by workers at the "Instituto Philippe Pinel", a psychiatric hospital in Rio de Janeiro. Among the parade participants are patients and professionals from the mental health network. The parade seeks to demystify the idea that people with mental suffering are dangerous. The goal is to provide patients with a feeling of inclusion in society, showing that treatment can be conducted without imprisonment. The block starts at Avenida Pasteur, in Urca. Samba unites!
