About

Created as a carnival block in 2008, it has since established itself as the "most eclectic" block in Lapa. For this, there is a melting pot of instrumentation: samba school batteries, northeastern forró trios, and the "baque virado" nations. The northeastern rhythms baião, maracatu, and samba-reggae (olodum) gain a carioca version, mixing with funk and marchinha, also bringing a version of the waltz of the great saloons.

Expected crowd: ~15,000
Founded in 2009
