One of the most traditional parades of Rio, Chave de Ouro has been taking over the streets of Engenho de Dentro since 1943, in a historical resistance to repression during the military dictatorship in the 60s and 70s. Also known as 'bloco de malandros', it plays sambas de enredo, axé, marchinha, sertanejo and other Brazilian rhythms.
