The kids, along with their parents, also have a space in the block of carnival. "Gigantes da Lira" was founded in 1999, in the neighborhood of Laranjeiras, and was the first children's carnival block in Rio. The idea of the founders is to bring fun, dreams, and fantasy to the kids and, of course, to the adults as well.
