Clube do Samba was founded in 1971 by João Nogueira, one of the greatest samba musicians in Rio de Janeiro. With tradition in its blood, the group used to parade in the central region of the city, until moving to Copacabana. The plots usually contain lyrics of a political nature, satirizing the current situation in the country.
