About
The Saens Pena band was founded in 2006 and traditionally agitates revelers at Rio's Street Carnival on Tuesdays. The gathering takes place in the square itself, near Rua General Roca, but the band then parades through various streets in the neighborhood, including Desembargador Isidro, Abelardo Chacrinha Barbosa, Conde de Bonfim, Pareto, and Santo Afonso.
